I enjoyed your recent article on DM Review “Taking credit for your MDM sucess”. I want to take credit for mine by sharing the MDM Framework product that I have created and used sucessfully at many client sites. My profile is on LINKEDIN and the demo is posted there as well as on the link for this email. Comments or opinions are welcome. I also should point out that this demo is just a brief version of my product to illustrate the major points in an MDM Methodology.
Let me refer to this article and add couple of observations around it. Recently I happened to work on evaluation of an Analytical MDM for clinical data trial domain. The basic aim was to first arrive at a centralized Meta data management solution, to drive the Master data management process. It was an eye-opener.
The concept of using Part Number or SKU based meta data information in a Product management MDM seems unique. This was conceived by Tim Sullivan from Hub Solution Design . Was this conceived as part of a “Go to market” strategy for a retailer? Has there been a business case built around using metadata driven MDM in retailing space? We could see more traction between Meta data driven MDM soon.

Dan,
I happened to read a blog written by Tim Sullivan (http://blog.hubdesigns.com/2008/02/27/metadata-and-mdm/) and was impressed by the thought leadership. I had tried leaving a comment to his blog but failed.
